NPQ Executive Leadership

The NPQ Executive Leadership programme supports school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, an executive headteacher or have a school trust CEO role with responsibility for leading several schools.

Delegates will develop the knowledge and skills to make evidence-informed decisions about senior leadership, building confidence to lead and support others to develop their practice and implement sustainable change across a range of areas like classroom practice, behaviour and culture, organisational management and working in partnership with others.

In-person sessions will be held at the EMAT Training Hub at Pyramus House, Grange Park, Northampton, with other coaching sessions taking place online. Dates to follow.

Course content

The course is comprised of four modules over 18 months. Each module lasts 12 weeks.

  • Module 1: What a Trust is and how it differs from a school 
  • Module 2: The Trust’s key purpose is to deliver high quality education 
  • Module 3: The Trust’s role in shaping behaviours and supporting most vulnerable
  • Module 4: How to effect change in a Trust
