#EMATter Trustee Stephen Morales has been recognised for his contributions to equity, diversity and inclusion with a prestigious fellowship.
Awarded by the Institute for Educational and Social Equity, the EDI Fellowship is awarded to those who demonstrate effective leadership across multiple organisations in the area of equity, diversity and inclusion.
Stephen is vice-chair of the East Midlands Academy Trust board of trustees and chief executive officer of the Institute of School Business Leadership.
He said: “I’m incredibly proud to have been awarded the EDI Fellowship from the Institute for Educational and Social Equity.
“EDI is something I am incredibly passionate about and I am committed to ensuring that inclusion is at the heart of everything we do here at EMAT. Inclusion is one of our three core values and I’ve worked alongside our head of governance to ensure it is firmly embedded in the #EMATters ethos and in all that we do within our community of schools.
“I look forward to continuing my work around EDI and seeing how that will benefit EMAT to make sure that every child is supported to be the best they can be.”
