Leaders from East Midlands Academy Trust were invited to present at an education conference in Jersey focusing on inclusion.
Head of education John Lawson, executive headteacher Zoe McIntyre and headteacher Ruth Ryan led a session on how we as a Trust have been working to develop an inclusive curriculum at EMAT schools, sharing our learning from our recent opening of two new special educational needs departments.
The Education4Everyone conference on Monday 27th March was attended by heads and special educational needs co-ordinators from across Jersey and is part of the Jersey Government's plan to create an early years and education system which is inclusive for all children and young people.
The invitation to present at the conference follows a visit to two EMAT schools by representatives from the Jersey SEND service.
